1. Remove the cover plate from the forward/reverse switch. Take care not to lose the small parts associated with the switch.

2. Unscrew the mounting screws that hold the switch in place.

3. Pull out the old switch and disconnect the wires from it.

4. Take the new switch and connect the wires to the appropriate terminals. Make sure to connect the wires to the same terminals as the old switch.

5. Place the new switch in the mounting hole and secure it with the screws.

6. Reattach the cover plate to the switch.

7. Test the switch to make sure it is functioning properly.
