1. Park the golf cart on a flat surface and turn off the power. Pull the parking brake lever to ensure the cart won’t move while you are working on it.

2. Remove the belt guard and any other components blocking access to the belt drive.

3. Locate the adjuster bolts. These are usually located on either side of the engine.

4. Loosen the adjuster bolts with a wrench.

5. Rotate the belt drive pulleys until the belts are tight enough to drive the cart without slipping.

6. Tighten the adjuster bolts with a wrench.

7. Replace the belt guard and any other components that you removed.

8. Turn on the power to the cart and test the belt tension.

9. If the belts still slip, repeat the process until the desired tension is achieved.
